Cayden Duncan is a photojournalist based in Louisville, Kentucky, with experience covering protests, conflict, sports, and community events. They possess a strong understanding in both digital and film photography, proficiency across mirrorless systems such as Fuji, Sony and Nikon, and a commitment to ethical, impactful storytelling.
They are currently pursuing a BA in Visual Journalism and Photography at Western Kentucky University, and have built technical and editorial skills through coursework and fieldwork. As Sports Editor and Photo Director at The Crimson, they led a visual team, managed photo coverage for a wide range of assignments, and contributed to both the visual and written aspects of newsroom production. Their skill set includes photo editing with Adobe Creative Suite, caption writing, and compositional photo storytelling in both studio and location environments.
